Claims

At Troutlodge, we are proud of the quality of the eggs that we sell. We guarantee a hatch-out rate of 90% on all eggs shipped, though most customers experience 95% or higher. We will replace any eggs lost in excess of the 90% hatch-out guarantee, unless it is found that the excessive losses were due to negligent handling on the part of the customer. In the case that you have experienced poor results with the eggs received from us, we invite you to submit a claim for our review.  Claims for replacement of eggs must be received within twenty (20) days of shipment, and must be accompanied by a completed Troutlodge Claims Form, which can be found on the right side of this page.  In the "Relevant Info" section to your right, you can also find a copy of our Terms of Sale, which provides a complete description of our Claims Procedure.  

Troutlodge maintains impeccable records on each shipment that goes out, including specific lot numbers for each batch of eggs. Due to our large production volume, most lots go to multiple customers, which enables us to better trace the cause of any problems reported by customers. In addition, Troutlodge hatches out a sample of nearly every lot of eggs we ship, which provides us with another means of comparing customer results and diagnosing any reported problems. All of this helps us work with our customers to optimize conditions at every step of the hatching and early rearing process in order to maximize results.
