Troutlodge Marine Farms

Troutlodge Marine Farms has two operations along the Atlantic coast in Vero Beach, Florida, USA. Within these two facilities, we work with both marine foodfish species and marine ornamental species. Our foodfish division works primarily with cobia (Rachycentron canadum) and Florida Pompano (Trachinotus carolinus), focusing on the production and sale of high-quality eggs and juveniles for on-growing farms throughout the Americas. Our ornamental division, Proaquatix, produces and sells a variety of captive bred marine ornamental species. Among these species are clownfish, Dottybacks, Gobies, Blennies, Basslets, and Game fish.

The broodstock facility in Vero Beach contains numerous tanks which utilize seawater pumped directly to the facility from the nearby Atlantic Ocean. Here, the crew is able to produce quality eggs using a research based broodstock program. It has a capacity of several million eggs per year.

The second facility in Vero Beach is a fully-enclosed, high capacity, modern marine hatchery facility. It contains a series of tanks that utilize recirculation technology to maintain optimal water conditions for rearing fingerlings and ornamentals. The facility is designed with one purpose in mind - to produce the highest quality marine finfish juveniles.

The Vero Beach operation is staffed with six full time employees, led by Fabricio Bueno and Eric Wagner. The staff has a combined 40 years of experience in the marine finfish industry.
In addition to this site, Troutlodge Marine also owns and operates a production facility in Kona, Hawaii, and a sablefish broodstock facility in Brinnon, Washington.
