03.23.10 - Troutlodge Chile announces changes to its management team
Troutlodge :: Chile (Pucon, Region IX, Chile) announces changes to its Senior Management staff. Effective April 1, 2010, Rodrigo Torrijo will assume the responsibility of General Manager of Troutlodge :: Chile, replacing the outgoing John Dentler. Mr. Torrijo has previously served as the Sales & Development Manager for Troutlodge in Chile since June 2009. Mr. Torrijo will continue in this capacity as part of his General Manager duties. After 2 years of living away from his home in the USA while directing Troutlodge :: Chile to new heights, Mr. Dentler has decided to return to the USA. He will continue in an advisory role with the company as he takes on additional assignments in the USA as well.In addition, Troutlodge :: Chile announces the recent appointments of Claudio Cerda as Production Manager, Patricio Uribe as Broodstock Manager, and Lorena Arratia as Genetics Supervisor.
02.02.10 - Troutlodge signs lease agreement for second Isle of Man facility
Troutlodge :: Isle of Man and the Isle of Man Department of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forestry (DAFF) signed a lease agreement today (February 2, 2010) that gives Troutlodge operational control of DAFF's Cornaa Fish Hatchery (Lag Vollagh Freshwater Hatchery). With this lease agreement, Troutlodge aims to immediately increase its egg production capacity on the Isle of Man by at least 40%, as demand for the company's products continues to grow throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Long-term, the company hopes to utilize the additional water and facility space provided by the Cornaa facility to double its annual egg production from the Isle of Man.

07.06.09 - Troutlodge and Wageningen University to cooperate on trout genetics research
Troutlodge, Inc. (Sumner, WA, USA) and the Animal Breeding & Genomics Center of Wageningen University (Netherlands) to cooperate on research project regarding molecular and quantitative genetics breeding programs. This work will be led by Mr. Panya Sae-Lim, a doctoral candidate, under the guidance of Dr. Hans Komen and in collaboration with scientists from Troutlodge, the world's leading producer of eyed salmonid eggs. The project aims to gather information from a sample of Troutlodge's customers in four key distinct regions in the company's global customer base. This information will then allow the researchers to identify the traits most valued by farmers in each region, and incorporate these preferences into Troutlodge's genetic selection programs using both quantitative and molecular genetics methodologies. The ultimate goal is for the company to better tailor its stocks to meet the specific demands of its global customer base.
