Product quality

Troutlodge works hard to ensure you have good results with our eggs. We are likely the only company in the world that use both advanced machines and careful personal care to ensure you achieve high hatch rates. We guarantee (warrant) a hatch out rate of 90% based on the invoiced number of eggs you receive.  Most of our customers achieve 95% or higher hatch rate.  We will issue a credit note on the value of the eggs that fail to hatch that are below the 90% warranty -- unless we find that water conditions (quality or quantity or both) at the hatchery or the care and husbandry of the eggs was poor.  We do not guarantee any result beyond hatch of the eggs as Troutlodge has no control over how the newly hatched trout are treated and cared for. 

Our experience in shipping eggs across the globe to countries near and far helps ensure that your eggs will arrive in time and in perfect condition. All eggs are carefully packaged into an insulated box specially designed for the transport of eyed salmonid eggs. In addition, each batch of eggs is hand-picked to maximize the quality of every shipment, meaning you will get more fish for every egg you order.

Our Idaho trout farm is located in Twin Falls - the heart of the United States' trout industry.  

In addition to the sites in the USA, we also own and operate trout hatchery operations in the Isle of Man (Europe) and Chile.

The proximity of the spawning and incubation facilities to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport enables us to ship eggs to destinations around the globe in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Within these facilities, we also maintain a fish health laboratory and a number of wet-lab facilities for use in our Genetic Selection Program and Research & Development efforts.
