Strengthening partnerships and advancing innovation in Japan

A few weeks ago, key members of the Troutlodge and Hendrix Genetics teams traveled to Japan for a series of market engagement meetings and strategic discussions. The visit reinforced both our long-standing relationships and our commitment to driving the future of trout production globally.

One of the highlights of our trip was meeting with Hayashi, one of our oldest and most loyal customers. For more than 30 years, we’ve been proud to work alongside him as he continues to lead Japanese trout production with vision, innovation, and a deep commitment to advancing aquaculture across generations. His leadership and trust in Troutlodge genetics remain a cornerstone of our presence in Japan.

We also conducted important genetic sampling work with FRD on a Troutlodge sentinel population. This initiative supports the continued development of our RAS performance strain, specifically selected to excel in highly advanced recirculating aquaculture systems like those operated by FRD. This work reflects our dedication to delivering genetics that meet the evolving needs of cutting-edge production environments worldwide.

Our time in Japan reaffirmed the strength of our partnerships and the exciting opportunities ahead as we continue to support the growth and innovation of the Japanese aquaculture industry.
